SHERIFF’S OFFICERS MAKE SIGNIFICANT DRUG ARREST IN UNION BEACH

Monmouth County Sheriff’s Officers made a significant drug arrest after they found a substantial amount of suspected crack cocaine at a home in Union Beach. On Friday, November 11th, Sheriff’s Officers Henry Muller and Sean O’Neill went to serve a non support warrant to Nicole Vansant, 21, at 710 Central Avenue. Upon gaining entry to the house from Vansant, and John Graf, 37, who both reside at the home, the officers observed drug paraphernalia and several bags of suspected crack cocaine in plain view. When asked if the officers could search further both subjects declined.

After obtaining a search warrant, and, with the assistance of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team S/O Kurt Kroeper and his K-9 Evan, approximately 100 small bags of suspected crack cocaine were confiscated along with drug paraphernalia and $638 in US currency.

John Graf was charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of CDS and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Nicole Vansant was charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of CDS, possession of a prohibited weapon and non support. Both are being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Bail was set at 137,500.

“An arrest like this helps keep drugs off of our streets, and, the communities where our children live and play, safer,” said Sheriff Shaun Golden. “I commend everyone involved in this arrest for their quick and decisive actions.”
