APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR CITZEN POLICE ACADEMY
Freehold: Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for enrollment in the 18th Annual Citizen Police Academy which will be held at the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Center, 2500 Kozloski Rd., Freehold.
Citizen Police Academy is a 12 hour block of instruction designed to give attendees an overview of law enforcement services in Monmouth County and features presentations by municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The course consists of six sessions on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The course is also the prerequisite for becoming a member of the VISCOMP Volunteer Program. Class begins September 23, with graduation on October 28. Applications are available to Monmouth County residents age 18 or older who have no criminal record. The deadline for applying is September 12, 2014. Enrollment is limited. There is no fee for the course.
